The Lea Rowing Club has two committees working parallel to each other. These committees are;
The Management Committee – Chaired by the Chairman and responsible for the development of the Lea Rowing Club site and its facilities. The Management committee is made up of the following personnel.
Chairman – Mr Richard Metcalf; responsible for coordinating the management of the facilities (boathouse, bar, cottage and café) of the Lea Rowing Club.
Vice-Chairman – Mr Dave Carruthers; responsible for deputising for the chairman and overseeing the facilities in the chairman’s absence.
Treasurer – Mr Leslie Fitton; responsible for producing and monitoring the accounts of the management committee.
Secretary – Miss Joanna Rawlinson; responsible for all communications of the management committee.
Estate Manager – Mr Sean O’Shea; responsible for managing the facilities of the Lea Rowing Club.
Captain – Mr Francis Bray (Frankie); responsible for managing the rowing activities of the Lea Rowing Club.
The Rowing Committee – Chaired by the Captain and responsible for the development of rowing on and off the water and the rowing equipment of the club. The Rowing committee is made up of the following personnel.
Captain – Mr Francis Bray (Frankie); responsible for managing the rowing activities of the Lea Rowing Club (especially Learn2Row, development planning, grant applications and Water Safety Advisor).
Vice-Captain (men) – Mr James Clinch; responsible for managing the senior men’s squad (all enquiries about joining this squad should be directed to the Vice-Captain (men)).
Vice-Captain (women) – Jo Baxter; responsible for managing the senior/veteran women’s squad (all enquiries about joining this squad should be directed to the Vice-Captain (women)).
Treasurer – Mrs Sally Lawrence; responsible for producing and monitoring the accounts of the rowing committee (all enquiries about subs, racking, race fees and entries and deposits for keys).
Secretary – Mr Samuel Batten; responsible for all communications of the rowing committee (all enquiries about social events and kit).
