The senior men’s squad operates with about 24 to 32 rowers in it each season. The squad is mixed in its abilities from elite to senior 4. The squad trains up to 6 days a week at the following times (winter time);
Monday to Thursday – 6:30pm to 8:30/9pm.
Tuesday and Thursday – Pre work outing/ergo/run etc..
Saturday – water work 8am to 1pm.
Sunday – water work 8am to 1pm.
When the nights start to become lighter the mid week sessions are replaced with water work and during some seasons we have rowed on Friday instead of Monday.
The main aim of the squad each season is to race at the top events throughout the year. These are the Pairs, Fours, Scullers and Eights Head as well as Henley Royal Regatta and the National Championships. Within the current squad there are rowers with International aspirations and they have regularly trialled for Great Britain.
