Racking Fees
The racking fee is currently £100 per seat (1x = £100, 2x = £200 and so on/the cox seat is not included for coxed boats) effective from 1st October 2006. Currently this fee entitles you to rack a boat at the club and insurance is not included. It is up to the boat owner(s) to take out private insurance. All boats need to have valid insurance and the club needs a photocopy of this. From 1st October 2006 boats without a valid insurance document will be subject to an increased racking fee of £150 per seat. This increase of £50 will cover the cost of placing the boat on the club’s insurance. If the owner(s) produces a valid document the racking fee will remain at £100.
Race Entry Fees
Currently the race entry fees are the cost of entry plus £1. This £1 on top of the entry fee covers the cost of getting the boats to the event. For crew boats the stroke of each boat is responsible for the collection of race fees for the committee. Race fees need to be paid in cash or cheque (payable to Lea Rowing Club) to the rowing committee one day before the event. Single scullers are responsible for paying their race fees to the committee.
Boathouse Key
Keys are available to the club house for members after they have been a member for 6 months. The member has to write to the Rowing Committee stating why they need a key and this will be reviewed at the next available committee meeting. The deposit for a key is £12.
